This was a sacred and special moment for me to witness...my father-in-law, Pete, teaching Noah how to use a lathe to make his very own wooden pen. I'm grateful to have not just one incredible dad, but two, who don't just pour into me but my kids as well. In this moment, I saw Noah light up like a Christmas tree with joy. I saw his confidence increase. I saw him relax a little more into his identity and feel safe. I saw an inseparable bond being formed between him and his Poppa in the shop. THANK YOU, dad, for loving my son so well! #catchingtime

This statement was liquid gold from my devotional today: "..We are not called to focus on the Fruit [of the Spirit]; we are called to focus on God’s Spirit." Makes me think of an apple tree. An orchardist focuses on cultivating an apple tree: watering, fertilizing, tending, cutting off diseased branches, and even pruning for growth. Things look kinda funky after the pruning and the tree feels like it's been through the ringer, but as a result of all the work of the orchardist, it produces a crap ton (that's the technical term ;) of fruit naturally. The orchardist positions the tree to produce fruit. The Holy Spirit is the orchardist, we are the tree, and the apples are the fruit of the Spirit. I dont want to focus on growing apples, I want to focus on letting the Orchardist do whatever He needs to do to position me to produce fruit. #resilientcoaching

This weekend we launched 92 people onto a Life Journey of leading others to follow and imitate Jesus. 7 Courses, 14 Facilitators, a year in the making, all for 1 God. I'm humbled that I get the privilege of leading this process. Lives and legacies will be shaped by this and the Great Commission will be one step further in being fulfilled as we make disciples together through the love and power of God #lifejourney #whosinyourshadow @lifechurchcantonmi
